After the breakfast we will drive to the shores of Lake Eyasi. We arrive in time for lunch at the Lodge/Campsite. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda Lake found on the Southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the Western Rift Valley Wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabee’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged. Return for dinner and overnight at Tented Camp/ Lodge/Luxury/Basic Campsite.

Early morning we depart to the village for local hunting experience with Hadzabee and Datoga tribes. This is not a mere performance. The Bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you’ll need to be very attentive and at times quiet, while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures on which they depend for survival. We return to the Lodge/Camp for a late breakfast (Brunch) and we then we drive to Karatu near the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Late afternoon drive to a Maasai Village Visit and meet the village elders, get an insight into the Maasai way of life, visit the Bomas, learn about their prized cattle and visit the local school late afternoon drive to the Lodge/Luxury/Tented Camp/Basic Campsite.

After the breakfast we depart and we drive to Ngorongoro Crater and we descend over 600 meters into the Crater to view wildlife for a whole day’s tour. Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Eland, Warthog, Hippo, and giant African Elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque of the Crater is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard we will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the South- Western corner, which is one of the main features of the Crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late evening we drive to the Lodge/Luxury/Basic Campsite and stays for dinner and overnight. The Campsite and the Lodge offers stunning views of Ngorongoro and the surrounding highland

After the breakfast we depart and driver to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area and later arrive on the great Serengeti plains for a different but just as spectacular wildlife viewing experience. You will pass one of the world’s greatest prehistoric archaeological sites, called Olduvai Gorge (Option), and then continue your way over the scrub lands. The wooded knolls around Naabi Hill Gate mark the Serengeti’s official entrance, which then drops into the Park’s signature wide-open plains. Like no other, this stretch embodies the meaning of the word “Serengeti,” which derives from the Masai “Siringet” and has been artistically translated as “the land that flows on forever”. Serengeti National Park covers 6,000 square miles of pristine land and offers not only expansive vistas, but the largest migration of mammals on earth, including 1.5 million wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Luxury/Tented Camp/Basic Campsite central of Serengeti.

After the breakfast you will have a full day game viewing at Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s second largest National Park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and Riverine forests. The Grumeti, Mbalageti, and Mara river systems serve as critical water sources and are often excellent sites for wildlife viewing. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators, including cheetah and Leopard, as well as large prides of Lions and clans of Hyenas. Other commonly seen animals include gazelle, Buffalo, giraffe, Topi, Hartebeest, Ostrich, and Jackal, but it is the full diversity of wildlife and habitats that you will truly find amazing. The greater Serengeti ecosystem actually covers the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Masai Mara in Kenya, and numerous surrounding wildlife-protected lands that combine for a total of almost 17,000 square miles, which is larger than the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island all together. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Luxury/Tented Camp/Basic Campsite central of Serengeti.

Our day starts with a morning game drive central of the Serengeti. For animals, that’s an active time of the day – not hot yet, so there is a lot to see out there until by 11:30am then we return back to the Camp/Lodge for Brunch. On our way back we will stop at Olduvai Gorge (Option). It’s a fascinating archaeological site we will visit if you are interested in history and the Masai tribes.
